Brain disregulation

Brain disregulation or neurological disregulation syndrome (nds) is the production of 'negative' theta brainwaves as opposed to the 'positive' beta brainwaves that are desirable for the ability to concentrate and complete tasks, whilst maintaining a feeling of well being.

Conditions resulting from nds include but are not limited to:
  • Migraines
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • ADHD
  • Stress Management
Can neurofeedback training cure disregulation?

Where disregulation is the primary issue, self-regulation is likely the remedy, the term cure again would not apply.
Neurofeedback can help people suffering with with these conditions however it is achieved through helping the subject 'train their brain' to respond to situations with positive brainwaves.

Does neurofeedback training last?

When treating brain disregulation the improvements achieved are learned, remembered and reinforced by ongoing behaviour. So yes in a similar way to learning to ride a bike the brain retains the abilities it has learned during the process of neurofeedback training.

Post Concussion Syndrome

Neurofeedback has helped me recover from post concussion syndrome. It helped with insomnia, memory, fatigue, irritability, light & noise sensitivity, heightened smell & nausea, anxiety and depression, all symptoms of my brain injury. After each session I felt calm and like my brain was functioning better. I’d highly recommend it to anyone with post concussion […]
